Millie-Mae has been involved in hairdressing since she was 15 years old, starting as a Saturday girl at Barrie Stephens.
Millie-Mae says, ‘From the very first day, I knew this was what I wanted to do — I fell in love with making people feel good about themselves.
As soon as I left school, I went straight into my apprenticeship, working my way up to Stylist with my own client base. After 5 years in salons honing my craft, I took the leap to set up my own luxury mobile hairdressing business — something I’d dreamed of for so long. I wanted to offer a more personal, one-to-one experience, bringing the salon to the comfort of my client’s homes.
Over the years, I’ve gained my NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing, alongside certifications in Wella Colour Craft, extensions, tapes, and curly hair — because I believe there’s always something new to learn in this industry.
The last 6 months have been such an exciting whirlwind — the biggest highlight being reaching the final 50 of the 2025 Hair and Beauty Awards in not just one, but two categories — Best Mobile Hairdresser of the Year and Best Hairdresser for Blondes‘. 🌟

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Consultation?
This is a 30min appointment to discuss your hair aspirations. It costs £15 which is taken off your bill if you book an appointment.
How do you shampoo my hair?
I use a portable back wash to shampoo your hair. I also have a chair I can bring to your appointment too.
Do I need a skin test?
New clients, existing clients who haven’t had a colour in 6 months, anyone whose medical history has changed or anyone who is pregnant will need a skin test 48hrs before their appointment.
How do I order Products?
Contact me to place and pay for your order. I will bring your products to your next appointment. If you need them sooner, I can either post or deliver them to you. There will be a small delivery charge to cover postage/petrol.
How can I pay?
I accept card, bank transfer or cash.
If you are having hair extensions fitted the hair needs to be paid for in advance of your appointment.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel with less than 48hrs notice you will be charged 30% of your appointment fee unless a deposit has been paid, then the deposit will be taken.
